Ingredients

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 8 oz (226 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cookie Dough

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp fine salt
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • (Optional) 2–3 tbsp sugar for rolling

Caramel Topping

  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade, cooled)
