Instructions
- Prepare the apple wedges. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, toss the sliced apple wedges with melted butter until they are evenly coated. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle the mixture over the apple wedges, tossing again to coat them evenly.
- Air fry the apples. Arrange the apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches. Air fry the apples for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the apples are tender on the inside with a slightly crisp exterior.
- Make the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and well combined. This creates a rich, creamy dip that’s perfect for pairing with the warm, spiced apples.
- Serve. Serve the warm apple wedges with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce on the side. For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle more caramel sauce over the top of the apples and whipped cream before serving.
