1. Marinate the Chicken
- In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and all the spices until smooth and fully combined.
- Add the chicken and coat thoroughly with the marinade. For best results, use your hands or tongs to ensure every piece is evenly covered.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors penetrate deeply.
2. Cook the Chicken
- Remove chicken from marinade and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking.
- Grill method: Preheat a grill to medium-high. Grill chicken for about 5–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Pan-fry method: Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken in batches, searing each side until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes total.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly across the grain.
