Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Brownie
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the package or your own recipe. Mix just until combined to keep the brownies tender.
- Pour into a baking pan and bake according to the recommended time. Avoid overbaking—you want soft, fudgy pieces that contrast beautifully with the ice cream.
- Let the brownies cool completely. This prevents melting the ice cream later and makes them easier to cut.
- Cut into small cubes or break into bite-size chunks. Uniform pieces help create neat layers in the cups.
2️⃣ Assemble the Sundae Cups
- Place a layer of brownie pieces in the bottom of each serving cup. Press gently to create a base without compacting the brownie too much.
- Add a scoop of ice cream on top. Softened ice cream is easier to scoop and sits neatly in the cup.
- Pour warm chocolate sauce over the ice cream. The warmth slightly melts the surface, creating a glossy, flowing layer.
- Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate chips, or nuts if desired. These add both flavor and texture.
- You can repeat the layers for a taller sundae: brownie → ice cream → sauce.
