- Reduce the skillet heat slightly and melt the butter in the same pan used for the chicken.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant (be careful not to burn).
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan — that’s where all the flavor is!
- Add the cream cheese and stir until it melts smoothly into the sauce.
- Mix in the mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring constantly until the cheeses melt and the sauce thickens into a luscious Alfredo consistency.
- If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water until you reach your preferred texture.
