Instructions

- Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature will allow the crescent rolls to bake up perfectly golden and crisp while the cheesy chicken filling melts inside.
- Prepare the chicken mixture: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cooked, shredded chicken with the softened cream cheese. Use a spatula or spoon to mix until the cream cheese is evenly incorporated into the chicken. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture, and stir until everything is well combined. For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of ranch dressing to the mixture. This will give the roll-ups a creamy, tangy flavor that pairs wonderfully with the chicken and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting the seasoning as needed.
- Unroll the crescent dough: Open the package of refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate the dough into the individual triangles. Lay the triangles flat on a clean surface or cutting board. Be sure to unroll the dough gently to avoid tearing any of the seams.
- Assemble the roll-ups: Spoon a generous amount of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent dough triangle. Use a spoon or spatula to spread the filling evenly, but leave some space on the edges to ensure the dough seals properly. Once the filling is placed, carefully roll up the dough starting from the wide end, rolling toward the pointed tip. Make sure to tuck in the sides slightly as you roll to fully enclose the filling.
- Place the roll-ups on a baking sheet: Arrange the prepared crescent roll-ups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Make sure to leave a little space between each roll-up to allow for even cooking and expansion as they bake.
- Bake the roll-ups: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked. The cheese should be melted and bubbly inside the rolls. Keep an eye on them toward the end of the baking time to avoid over-baking. The tops should be crisp and golden, and the filling should be warm and gooey.
