Instructions
- Prepare the yogurt base:
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt) with the unsweetened cocoa powder and honey (or maple syrup). Stir until smooth and well-combined. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup according to your taste. The cocoa powder will provide a rich chocolatey base that pairs perfectly with the berries. - Add the vanilla (optional):
If you like an extra layer of flavor, add the vanilla extract to the yogurt mixture and stir well. The vanilla will enhance the chocolatey taste and make the bowl even more aromatic. - Assemble the energy bowl:
Spoon the chocolate yogurt mixture into a serving bowl. Smooth it out with the back of a spoon to create an even surface. - Top with fresh berries:
Arrange the mixed berries on top of the yogurt base. You can use strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or any combination of your favorite berries. The tartness of the berries will balance the sweetness and chocolatey flavor of the yogurt. - Add crunch and nutrition:
Sprinkle granola or crushed nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans) on top for added crunch. For extra nutritional benefits, you can add chia seeds or flaxseeds. These seeds provide a boost of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. - Optional toppings:
If you’re feeling indulgent, add a sprinkle of coconut flakes, a dollop of almond butter, or a few cacao nibs for a richer, more decadent finish. These toppings can enhance the texture and provide additional health benefits.Storage & Tips
