1️⃣ Make the Brownie Crust
- Mix the dry ingredients: Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir until evenly blended, breaking up any cocoa lumps so the crust bakes evenly.
- Add wet ingredients: Pour in the melted butter, then add the egg and vanilla. Stir until a thick brownie-like batter forms. It should be smooth and cohesive without dry patches.
- Transfer to pan: Spread the mixture evenly into a greased or parchment-lined pan, pressing it gently into the corners so the crust bakes uniformly.
- Bake: Bake at 175°C for 15–20 minutes. The surface should look set and slightly puffed. Let the crust cool completely so the cheesecake layer can sit on top without melting.
