3️⃣ Prepare the Cream Filling

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

4️⃣ Prepare the Chocolate Buttercream

  1. Beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract. Continue to beat until the buttercream is thick and glossy.

5️⃣ Roll the Cake

  1. Once the cake has cooled, carefully unroll it and remove the towel.
  2. Spread the whipped cream filling evenly over the cake.
  3. Carefully roll the cake back up, this time without the towel. Place the seam side down.

6️⃣ Apply the Chocolate Buttercream

  1. Cover the entire roll with the chocolate buttercream, using a spatula to create a textured, « log-like » appearance.

7️⃣ Decorate

  • Dust the top with cocoa powder and add fresh fruit or mint leaves for garnish.
  • For a wintery touch, sprinkle powdered sugar over the cake to create a « snow » effect.
