1️⃣ Prepare the Bread Pudding
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish. Add cubed bread and raisins or nuts if using.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes, gently pressing down to ensure all pieces are soaked.
- Let sit for 15–20 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Cool slightly while preparing the vanilla custard sauce.
