Classic Homemade Apple Crumble 🍏🍎

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Apple Filling

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour.
  3. Toss gently until apples are evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread into an even layer.

2️⃣ Make the Crumble Topping

  1. In another bowl, whisk together flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Add cold butter cubes and cut them into the dry mixture using a pastry cutter, fork, or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3️⃣ Assemble & Bake

  1. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple filling.
  2. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling around the edges.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set slightly.
