Classic Spaghetti with Rich Tomato Sauce ✨🍝❤️

Instructions

1. Cook the Spaghetti

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

2. Make the Sauce

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft, 4–5 minutes.
  2. Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce needs thinning.

    3. Combine & Serve
