Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant — do not brown.
- Make the sauce: Pour in the cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and whisk until melted and smooth.
- Season: Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Toss pasta: Add drained pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water 1–2 tablespoons at a time until silky.
- Serve: Plate hot and garnish with extra Parmesan, fresh parsley, or a drizzle of olive oil.
