Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken Tenders
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking and promote even browning.
- Set up three shallow bowls: one with the flour, one with the beaten eggs, and one with the breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. This classic breading station allows for even coating and consistent results.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels for better adherence. Dredge each piece in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the seasoned breadcrumbs. Press gently to help the coating stick.
- Arrange the breaded chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, spaced slightly apart to allow air circulation for crisping.
- Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray or drizzle with a small amount of oil to encourage golden, crunchy results.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the tenders are golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The exterior should be crisp and the inside juicy and tender.
2. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes
