1️⃣ Prepare the Crock Pot
- In a large crock pot (6-quarts or larger), cover the bottom with 2 cups of the brown sugar.This creates a sweet base that melts into syrup as the ham heats.
2️⃣ Add the Ham
- Place the ham on top of the brown sugar.Gently open the spiral slices with your hands to help the flavors seep inside.
- Pour the honey evenly over the entire ham.The honey adds shine and deep caramel notes to the glaze.
- Add the pineapple (with its juice) around the sides and spoon some over the top.The acidity helps balance the sweetness while infusing the ham with pineapple flavor.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups brown sugar evenly over the top of the ham.This creates the signature sticky-sweet crust as it melts.
