Step Four: Cook the Pie
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set the heat to HIGH. Let the pie cook for 2 to 3 hours. The cooking time will vary depending on your slow cooker, so it’s a good idea to check it after 2 hours. The pie is done when the filling is set, and the edges of the crust are golden brown and crispy. You may notice that the filling will firm up as it cools, which is perfectly normal.
Cool and Serve:
Once the pie is done cooking, remove the lid and let it cool for a bit. The crust will continue to crisp up as it cools, and the filling will thicken slightly, giving you that perfect, gooey pecan pie texture. Once cooled to room temperature, slice and serve. This slow cooker pecan pie is perfect for a busy day or any time you want to enjoy the flavors of pecan pie with minimal effort!
