Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures your pie crust bakes evenly and achieves that golden, flaky perfection.
Step 2: Cook the Meat
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and beef sausage. Break them apart with a wooden spoon and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7–10 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to evenly coat the meat with flavor.
Step 3: Assemble the Pie
- Place the unbaked deep-dish pie crust into a deep pie pan or oven-safe dish. Press it gently to fit evenly along the bottom and sides.
- Begin layering your pie:
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the crust base.
- Add half of the cooked meat mixture and spread it evenly.
- Spoon half of the pizza sauce over the meat layer and spread it gently with the back of a spoon.
- Top with half of the pepperoni slices.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients — meat, sauce, cheese, and pepperoni — for a rich, stacked pie that’s full of flavor.
