Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep:
- Preheat your oven to 175°C / 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even roasting.
2. Clean the Seeds:
- Place pumpkin seeds in a colander and rinse under cold water to remove any pumpkin pulp or stringy fibers. Stir them gently with your hands as you rinse to help loosen clinging bits.
- Spread the cleaned seeds out on a paper towel or clean kitchen cloth and pat dry thoroughly. Drying is key — excess moisture can lead to steaming instead of roasting, preventing them from becoming crisp.
3. Season the Seeds:
- Transfer the dry seeds to a mixing bowl. Add olive oil or melted butter, salt, and any optional seasonings you’re using. Stir until the seeds are evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
4. Roast:
- Spread the seasoned seeds in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overlapping for even browning.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15–25 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even toasting. Watch closely toward the end — seeds can go from golden to burnt quickly.
5. Cool & Store:
