Instructions
1. Caramelize the Onions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the sliced onions and sugar. Stir occasionally and cook for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown and caramelized.
- If the onions start to stick, deglaze the pan with a splash of beef broth and continue cooking.
- Once done, set the onions aside.
2. Prepare the Burger Patties
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Don’t overmix.
- Form into 4 even patties, slightly wider than your buns.
- Cook the patties in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat, about 3–4 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
