Instructions

  1. Prepare all fresh ingredients: peel the ginger and garlic, juice the lemon, and cut the pineapple into manageable chunks. Ensure the onion is peeled and roughly chopped to make blending easier.
  2. Add the pineapple chunks, lemon juice, onion, ginger, garlic, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne, honey, and apple cider vinegar into a high-speed blender or food processor.
  3. Blend all ingredients on high until smooth and uniform. The mixture should have a thick, pulpy consistency, with vibrant golden-yellow and orange hues from the turmeric and pineapple.
  4. Taste the blend and adjust flavors if desired. For a sweeter profile, add a touch more honey. For more acidity, a little extra apple cider vinegar can be incorporated.
  5. Optional: Strain the blend through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove any fibrous pieces, creating a smoother liquid texture. This step is particularly useful if using the blend as a drink or in recipes where a silky consistency is preferred.
  6. Transfer to a clean glass jar or airtight container. The blend can be enjoyed immediately by the tablespoon, or chilled for a colder, refreshing version.
