Step 1: Prep & Season the Shrimp π€
- Pat the shrimp dry using paper towels to ensure a good sear.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika for a little smoky warmth.
Step 2: Sear the Shrimp π³
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2β3 minutes per side, until pink, firm, and just opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Henny Butter Sauce π§π₯
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
- Carefully pour in the Hennessy cognac. Let it simmer for 1β2 minutes to slightly reduce and cook off some of the alcohol.
- Stir in Dijon mustard (if using) and fresh lemon juice for tang and depth.
Step 4: Combine & Serve π€
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the buttery sauce.
- Cook for another minute until everything is warmed through and well combined.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
