Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake – Decadent, Creamy & Perfectly Balanced

🍰 Preparation

1️⃣ Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8–9-inch cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Beat until combined.
  4. Slowly pour in the hot coffee while continuing to beat. The batter will be thin — this ensures a moist texture.
  5. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.

2️⃣ Peanut Butter Frosting

  1. In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy.
  2. Add peanut butter and beat until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating after each addition.
  4. Add vanilla and 2 tablespoons of milk or cream. Beat until smooth and fluffy, adjusting consistency with more milk as needed.
  5. Mix in a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and enhance the peanut butter flavor.
