🍰 Preparation
1️⃣ Chocolate Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8–9-inch cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Beat until combined.
- Slowly pour in the hot coffee while continuing to beat. The batter will be thin — this ensures a moist texture.
- Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
2️⃣ Peanut Butter Frosting
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter until creamy.
- Add peanut butter and beat until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, beating after each addition.
- Add vanilla and 2 tablespoons of milk or cream. Beat until smooth and fluffy, adjusting consistency with more milk as needed.
- Mix in a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and enhance the peanut butter flavor.
