1️⃣ Make the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice or vinegar.
- Add chili flakes if using. Set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Salmon
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Place salmon skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and nearly cooked through.
3️⃣ Glaze & Finish
- In the last 1–2 minutes of cooking, pour the prepared glaze into the pan.
- Spoon the sauce over the salmon as it thickens, creating a glossy coating.
- Remove from heat once salmon is fully cooked and the sauce has slightly reduced.
4️⃣ Steam the Broccoli
- Steam broccoli florets in a steamer basket or microwave with a splash of water and pinch of salt for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Season with garlic powder or lemon juice if desired.
5️⃣ Plate & Serve
- Place salmon fillets on a plate next to the steamed broccoli.
- Drizzle any extra glaze from the pan over the top of the salmon.
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for added brightness.
