Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry 🍤🍯🌶️

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Shrimp 🍤

  1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  3. (Optional) Toss with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch for a light, crispy coating.

2️⃣ Make the Honey Garlic Sauce 🍯

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, oyster sauce (if using), minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes.
  2. Set aside while you prepare the stir fry.

3️⃣ Cook the Vegetables 🥦🥕

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add broccoli, carrots, and both bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until just tender but still crisp.
  3. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

4️⃣ Cook the Shrimp 🍤🔥

  1. Add another tablespoon of oil to the same skillet.
  2. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.

5️⃣ Combine & Glaze 🍯

  1. Return the vegetables to the skillet with the shrimp.
  2. Pour in the prepared sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through.

6️⃣ Serve 🌱

  • Serve hot over steamed jasmine rice or rice noodles.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
