👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Mix the Dry Ingredients 🍫
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, hot cocoa mix, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
2️⃣ Cream the Butter & Sugar 🧈🍬
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth and well combined.
3️⃣ Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients 🍪
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
4️⃣ Add Chocolate Chips 🍫
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
5️⃣ Chill the Dough (Optional, for better texture) 🧊
- For best results, chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up. This will help the cookies keep their shape while baking.
6️⃣ Bake the Cookies 🍪
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough for each cookie and roll into balls. Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft. The cookies will firm up as they cool.
7️⃣ Cool & Serve 🍽️
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature with a glass of milk or hot cocoa!
