Bake the Bars:
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. As it bakes, the filling will bubble up and thicken, while the top will turn a beautiful, caramelized brown. You can check the doneness of the bars by gently tapping the pan or giving it a little shake. If the filling jiggles slightly in the center, it may need a few more minutes. If the filling has set completely and the top is golden, the bars are ready to come out of the oven.
Cool and Serve:
Once the bars are baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan. The cooling time will help the filling firm up and make the bars easier to cut. Depending on the temperature of your kitchen, this should take about an hour. If you’re in a rush, you can place the pan in the refrigerator to speed up the cooling process, but be sure to let the bars reach room temperature for the best flavor and texture.
Once cooled, cut the bars into squares. You can make them as large or as small as you like, depending on your preference. These Lazy Girl Pecan Pie Bars are perfect for serving at parties, gatherings, or even as a quick treat for yourself. Enjoy the rich, gooey filling with the crunch of toasted pecans and the buttery, flaky crust!
