- In a medium saucepan or kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, immediately remove from heat to avoid over-steeping the tea and bitterness.
2. Steep the Tea and Ginger:
- Add the green tea bags and sliced fresh ginger directly to the hot water.
- Cover the pot and allow it to steep for 5–7 minutes. Steep less for a milder flavor, or longer for a stronger, more robust brew with pronounced ginger notes.
3. Sweeten with Honey:
- After steeping, remove and discard the tea bags and ginger slices.
- While the tea is still warm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved. Adjust the sweetness based on your preference.
4. Add Lemon Juice:
- Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice. The citrus brightens the flavor and balances the sweetness of the honey and the warmth of the ginger.
