Loaded Surf and Turf Fries

  1. Assemble & Melt Cheese: Arrange the hot fries on a large serving plate or cast-iron skillet in an even bed. Spoon the seasoned ground beef evenly over the fries, followed by the cooked shrimp. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the top, distributing it so it melts evenly. Place the assembled dish under a preheated broiler for 1–2 minutes, just until the cheese melts and becomes glossy. Watch closely, as broilers can vary and cheese can brown quickly.
  2. Serve: Once the cheese is melted, remove from the broiler and serve immediately. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces—ranch, chipotle mayo, and spicy queso all work beautifully with the loaded toppings.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake fries on a parchment-lined pan and avoid overcrowding.
  • You can swap cheddar for Monterey Jack or pepper jack for added spice.
  • Serve directly on a hot cast-iron skillet to help the fries stay warm longer.
  • Great dipping sauces include ranch, garlic aioli, and spicy sriracha mayo.
