1οΈβ£ Cook the Bacon
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels and discard most of the grease.
- Brush or drizzle cooked bacon with maple syrup while warm for that signature sweet maple flavor. Set aside.
2οΈβ£ Prepare the Beef
- In the same skillet, add ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned and crumbly, about 6β8 minutes.
- Drain any excess grease, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and keep warm.
3οΈβ£ Assemble the Quesadillas
- Lay one tortilla flat. Sprinkle a layer of cheese on half of it.
- Add a few spoonfuls of the seasoned beef, then crumble the maple bacon over it.
- Add another layer of cheese and fold the tortilla in half to seal the filling inside.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
4οΈβ£ Cook Until Golden
- Heat a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat and brush lightly with butter or oil.
- Place each folded quesadilla in the pan and cook 2β3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden brown and crisp, and the cheese has melted.
- Transfer to a cutting board and let cool slightly before slicing into triangles.
