Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Cake Batter
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line three 8-inch (20cm) round cake pans with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until evenly combined.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
- Gradually pour in the warm water or coffee, whisking continuously until the batter is smooth and slightly thin — this ensures a moist cake.
2️⃣ Bake the Cakes
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Tap the pans gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then carefully remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
