Moist Chocolate Cake

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Cake Batter

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line three 8-inch (20cm) round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until evenly combined.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Gradually pour in the warm water or coffee, whisking continuously until the batter is smooth and slightly thin — this ensures a moist cake.

2️⃣ Bake the Cakes

  1. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Tap the pans gently on the counter to release any air bubbles.
  2. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then carefully remove and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
