Moist Marble Cake with Chocolate Drizzle

4. Assemble the Marble Cake

  1. Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Pour the vanilla batter into the pan and spread evenly.
  3. Spoon the chocolate batter on top in dollops or lines.
  4. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the batters gently, creating a marbled pattern. Don’t over-swirl—2–3 swirls are enough.

5. Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Let the cake cool completely in the pan before adding the drizzle.

6. Make the Chocolate Drizzle

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until just steaming—do not boil.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  3. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth, glossy, and fully melted.
  4. Drizzle over the completely cooled cake. Let set before slicing.
