Orange Creamsicle Cake

  1. Once completely cooled, prick the cake surface with a fork or toothpick. This creates channels that help the syrup soak deeper into the crumb.
  2. Drizzle the orange syrup evenly over the cake.Go slowly to let the cake absorb the liquid without pooling.
  3. Spread one-third of the cream on top. This first layer binds the syrup-soaked cake and gives a silky base for the rest of the frosting.
  4. Cover the sides and top completely with the remaining cream.Use long, smooth strokes for a clean finish, or leave soft swirls for a rustic look.
  5. Decorate with orange slices, extra zest, or piped cream if desired.

⏳ Resting

  • Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours. This resting time allows the cake to firm up, the syrup to settle, and the cream to develop a dreamy creamsicle flavor throughout.
