1οΈβ£ Prepare the Chicken
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and garlic powder.
- In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs, and in a third bowl, place the flour.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks well.
2οΈβ£ Cook the Chicken
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coated chicken breasts and cook for 4β5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. The chicken should be cooked through (internal temperature of 165Β°F / 74Β°C).
- Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5β10 minutes to ensure the chicken is fully cooked and the crust is extra crispy.
3οΈβ£ Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- In a separate skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1β2 minutes until fragrant (be careful not to burn).
- Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, allowing the sauce to come to a simmer. Let it cook for 2β3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in Dijon mustard (if using) and Parmesan cheese. Continue to cook for another 1β2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
4οΈβ£ Serve
- Place the Parmesan crusted chicken on serving plates.
- Spoon the creamy garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring itβs generously covered.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your choice of side, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
