- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup snap peas or green beans
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
1. Cook the Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes for lo mein or 8-10 minutes for spaghetti). Drain the noodles and set aside. For extra flavor, you can toss them in a little sesame oil.
2. Cook the Shrimp and Sirloin Steak
In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp and set them aside.
In the same skillet, add the sirloin steak cubes and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
3. Prepare the Stir-Fry Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, black pepper, and water. This will be the sauce for your stir-fry.
4. Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the vegetables (bell pepper, onion, snap peas, and garlic) over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, or until they’re tender but still crisp.
5. Combine Everything
