Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow

Ingredients

• 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
• 1 Big Box Strawberry Jello Mix
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Start by placing the Rice Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl. This will serve as the base for your puppy chow, providing a crunchy, light texture that absorbs the sweet coating beautifully.
2. In a separate, microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips. You can do this by microwaving them in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler. The melted white chocolate will form the creamy base for the strawberry coating.
3. Once the white chocolate is melted, add the entire package of strawberry Jello mix to the bowl, and stir until it’s fully incorporated into the chocolate. The Jello mix will add that vibrant strawberry flavor and a beautiful pink color to the coating.
4. Pour the white chocolate-strawberry mixture over the Rice Chex cereal, making sure the cereal is evenly coated with the creamy strawberry mixture. Stir gently to coat the cereal completely. Be careful not to crush the Chex cereal as you stir; you want the pieces to remain intact.
5. Next, add the powdered sugar. Pour the powdered sugar into the bowl with the coated cereal, and then cover the bowl tightly with a lid or plastic wrap. Shake the bowl gently to ensure the powdered sugar coats every piece of the strawberry-covered cereal. This step gives the puppy chow its signature sweet, sugary coating.
