1ļøā£ Cook the Ground Beef
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Once browned and no longer pink, drain excess grease if needed.
- Sprinkle in the taco seasoning and add a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons). Stir to combine and let it simmer for 5ā7 minutes until thickened and flavorful.
2ļøā£ Cook the Shrimp
- In a separate skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2ā3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
- Remove from heat and set aside. Do not overcook to keep the shrimp tender and juicy.
3ļøā£ Assemble the Nachos
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large foil tray or oven-safe baking dish, spread out a layer of tortilla chips to cover the base evenly.
- Distribute the cooked ground beef over the chips.
- Drizzle the shredded cheese or nacho cheese sauce generously over the beef and chips.
- Top with the cooked shrimp, spacing them out evenly across the surface.
4ļøā£ Melt & Finish
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 5ā7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let sit for 1ā2 minutes before garnishing.
