👨🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Shrimp 🍤
- Pat shrimp dry using paper towels to ensure a good sear in the pan.
- Season lightly with salt and black pepper, then set aside.
Step 2: Make the Sauce 🥣
- In a small bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil (if using).
- Stir well and set aside. This will be your glossy, flavorful glaze.
Step 3: Cook the Shrimp 🔥
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive or vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Avoid overcrowding the pan for even cooking.
- Transfer the cooked shrimp to a plate and set aside while you build the sauce.
Step 4: Cook the Garlic 🧄
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant—do not let it brown.
- Pour in the prepared sauce mixture and stir for 1–2 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
Step 5: Combine Shrimp & Sauce 🍲
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat thoroughly in the sauce.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes, just until shrimp are heated through and glazed beautifully.
Step 6: Serve 🍽️
