Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Seasoning Blend
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well to create a bold, smoky seasoning blend. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Fries
- Cook the frozen French fries according to the package directions. For maximum crispiness, deep-fry the fries at 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Alternatively, bake the fries in a preheated oven following the package instructions for a lighter option. You can also use an air fryer for extra crunch with less oil.
Step 3: Season the Fries
- Once the fries are cooked, transfer them to a large mixing bowl while still hot. Sprinkle the prepared seasoning blend evenly over the fries.
- Toss the fries gently to ensure every piece is coated with the flavorful spice mix. The heat from the fries will help the seasoning stick perfectly.
Step 4: Make the Nacho Cheese Sauce
- In a small saucepan, combine Cheez Whiz, milk, jalapeño brine, and ground cayenne pepper.
- Heat over low heat, whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and heated through — about 5 minutes.
- Adjust the consistency by adding a splash more milk if it’s too thick, or extra brine for a spicier kick.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
