- Prepare the Glass (Optional Rim)
- Start by mixing a small amount of brown sugar with a pinch of cinnamon on a plate. Moisten the rim of a rocks glass with a slice of banana or a touch of simple syrup.
- Dip the moistened glass rim into the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat it, creating a flavorful base for your drink.
- For extra flair, drizzle caramel sauce down the inside walls of the glass. This will add an extra touch of sweetness and a beautiful visual effect when served.
- Combine Spirits
- Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice.
- Pour in the Dark/Spiced Rum, Banana Liqueur, and Butterscotch Schnapps (or Kahlúa). Stir gently to combine, allowing the ingredients to chill and mix thoroughly.
- Add Spice and Cream
- To create the signature layered look, gently pour the Heavy Cream (or Half-and-Half) over the back of a spoon so that it floats on top of the cocktail base.
- Sprinkle a tiny pinch of ground cinnamon over the cream layer for a subtle spice that complements the other flavors.
- Garnish and Serve
- Garnish the drink by adding a thin slice of banana to the rim of the glass. This adds a nice touch of freshness and highlights the banana flavor in the cocktail.
