Ingredients
- 2 oz creme de menthe (green or white, depending on your preference)
- 1 oz chocolate liqueur (such as Godiva or Mozart)
- 1 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 tablespoon mint chocolate chips (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup (for drizzling, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Directions
- Prepare the Shot Glasses: If you like, drizzle some chocolate syrup around the inside of the shot glasses for extra chocolate flavor. Simply pour a small amount of chocolate syrup into a glass, and swirl it around to coat the inside. This adds an extra layer of sweetness and a beautiful presentation.
- Mix the Shot Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of creme de menthe, 1 oz of chocolate liqueur, and 1 oz of heavy cream (or half-and-half) to create a creamy, minty base. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients thoroughly. The cold temperature will ensure the shots are refreshing and smooth.
- Pour the Shots: Strain the mixture into the prepared shot glasses, filling each about halfway. The combination of chocolate and mint should form a smooth, creamy layer in the shot glass, looking rich and inviting.
- Garnish and Serve: For an extra minty touch, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of mint chocolate chips over the top of each shot. You can also add a fresh mint leaf for garnish to enhance the minty aroma and make the shots look even more festive. Serve immediately and enjoy the rich, minty flavor with every sip!
