🍯 Russian Honey Cake (Medovik) – A Sweet Slice of Tradition

3. Make the Cream Filling:

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the sour cream mixture to create a light, silky frosting.

4. Assemble the Cake:

  1. Place the first cake layer on your serving dish and spread with a generous amount of cream.
  2. Repeat with remaining layers, stacking evenly and spreading cream between each.
  3. Cover the top and sides with the remaining cream.
  4. Crumble one of the cooled layers or trim edges for crumbs, and use them to coat the outside of the cake.
