1️⃣ Prep the Scallops
- Pat the scallops dry thoroughly with paper towels—this ensures they sear properly rather than steam.
- In a bowl, toss the scallops with olive oil or melted butter to lightly coat.
- Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika (if using), and black pepper. Set aside.
2️⃣ Wrap with Bacon
- Wrap each scallop with a half slice of bacon, overlapping the ends slightly.
- Secure the bacon with a toothpick through the side of the scallop to hold it in place during cooking.
3️⃣ Air Fry
