Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs

Instructions

    1. Preheat Air Fryer to 375°F (190°C). Allow the air fryer to come fully to temperature before adding anything to the basket. Preheating helps the hot dogs develop a slight crisp on the outside while keeping the interior juicy, and it also ensures the buns will toast evenly later.
    2. Cook Hot Dogs for 4–5 minutes. Place the hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, with a little space between them for proper airflow. After 4–5 minutes, they should appear slightly blistered or lightly browned, indicating that the outer casing has crisped just enough to add texture without drying them out.
    3. Assemble the Hot Dogs. Butter the hot dog buns both inside and out using softened butter, which helps them toast evenly and achieve a grilled-cheese-style finish. Place one slice of cheese inside each bun, add a cooked hot dog, and lay another slice of cheese on top. Align the cheese slices so they melt smoothly around the hot dog as it reheats in the air fryer.
