Air Fryer Sausage Rolls

🔧 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Filling

  1. In a bowl, mix the sausage meat with herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper. Combine thoroughly using a fork or your hands until evenly seasoned.
  2. If desired, add optional ingredients like cheese or mustard for an extra boost of flavor.

2️⃣ Assemble the Rolls

  1. Cut the puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise to form two long rectangles.
  2. Place a strip of sausage mixture down the center of each rectangle, shaping it into a long log.
  3. Fold one side of the pastry over the filling and seal the edge firmly with a fork. Trim off any excess pastry.
  4. Slice each roll into small bite-sized pieces or longer portions depending on your preference.
  5. Place the rolls seam-side down on a parchment-lined tray while you prepare the rest.

3️⃣ Brush & Air Fry

  1. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg to give them a glossy, golden finish.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
  3. Arrange the rolls in the basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between each for even cooking (avoid overcrowding).
  4. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, or until puffed, crisp, and golden brown. Check halfway through and rotate if necessary for even color.
