Baked French Dip Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Au Jus (optional, for dipping):

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. This will help prevent the biscuits from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Pop open the can of refrigerated flaky biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use your hands or a rolling pin to flatten each biscuit slightly, creating a little space for the filling.
  3. Take a slice or two of the deli roast beef (depending on the size of the biscuits) and place it in the center of each flattened biscuit. Top the beef with about 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese. If you want an extra cheesy bite, feel free to add a little more cheese to each biscuit!
  4. Carefully fold the sides of the biscuit dough over the beef and cheese, pinching the edges together to seal the filling inside. You should have a little package that’s sealed tightly, with the cheese and beef completely enclosed in the dough. Place each stuffed biscuit on the prepared baking sheet.
