Ingredients
- For the Special Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- For the Wrap:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
Instructions
- Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. This sauce is the secret to giving your wraps that signature Big Mac flavor. Set it aside and refrigerate while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook 1 lb of ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon or spatula as it cooks. Season with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Once cooked, drain any excess grease and set the beef aside.
- Assemble the Wraps: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for about 10-15 seconds until soft and pliable. This step makes it easier to roll them up without cracking. Lay each tortilla flat on a surface. Place a slice of American cheese in the center of each tortilla, then layer on 1/4 of the cooked ground beef. Add a generous spoonful of the special sauce over the beef, then top with a handful of shredded iceberg lettuce, diced onions, and sliced pickles.
- Wrap and Serve: Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly, ensuring all the ingredients are wrapped securely inside. Slice the wrap in half diagonally for a neat presentation. Serve the wraps immediately, or wrap them in parchment paper or foil if you’re packing them for lunch or a picnic. For an extra touch, you can toast the wraps lightly in a skillet to make them crispy, if desired.
