1. Make the Blackberry Sauce:
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberries, water, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the blackberries release their juices and begin to soften.
2. Thicken the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and lemon juice to form a slurry.
- Stir the slurry into the blackberry mixture. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens. Set aside to cool completely.
3. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until fully moistened.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9½-inch (24 cm) deep-dish pie plate. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
