Instructions
1️⃣ Sear the Steak
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced sirloin steak and season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Sear for 2–3 minutes until browned but not overcooked — the meat should remain tender.
- Remove the steak from the pot and set aside on a plate while you build the sauce base.
2️⃣ Build the Flavor Base
- In the same pot, reduce heat to medium and add the diced onion. Sauté for 2 minutes until softened and translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant. The garlic and chili will release deep, savory aromas that elevate the sauce.
3️⃣ Cook the Pasta in the Sauce
- Pour in the uncooked pasta, beef broth, and heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. The pasta will absorb the broth and cream, creating a thick, luscious sauce.
- When the pasta is tender and the liquid has mostly thickened, remove the lid and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese melts smoothly into the sauce.
4️⃣ Finish with Zest & Steak
