Butter Pecan Poke Cake – Rich, Nutty & Ultra Moist

Instructions

Step 1: Bake the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare and bake the yellow cake according to box directions.
  3. While cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the cake, about 1 inch apart.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and butter extract (if using).
  2. Slowly pour the mixture evenly over the warm cake, letting it soak into the holes.
  3. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
