Butter-Seared Lobster Tails with Garlic Cream Sauce 🧄🦞✨

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Lobster Tails:

  1. Using kitchen shears, cut along the top of each lobster shell lengthwise. Gently lift the lobster meat up and rest it over the shell, keeping it attached at the base.
  2. Season the lobster meat with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

2️⃣ Sear the Lobster Tails:

  1. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. When the butter is hot and foamy, place the lobster tails flesh-side down.
  3. Sear for 2–3 minutes until the surface is golden brown.
  4. Flip and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes, basting with the pan butter, until the meat is opaque and fully cooked through.
  5. Remove the lobster from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  1. Lower the heat to medium and melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 1 minute to deglaze the pan.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard, whisking to combine.
  5. Simmer the sauce for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4️⃣ Finish the Dish:

  1. Return the lobster tails to the skillet and spoon the warm garlic cream sauce over them.
  2. Simmer gently for 1 minute to reheat and meld flavors.

5️⃣ Serve:

  • Plate the lobster tails and spoon extra sauce on top.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve with your choice of steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice for a complete meal.
